Mikayla is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product. Strengths: -Powerful engine -Multiple Speeds -Three methods of transportation (head array, joystick, and manual).Comfortable Weaknesses: -Weak spots -No water resistance (sucks in Oregon)! -Exposed wires -Breaks fequently -More money spent on repairs than chair itself. Comments: I strongly discourage this chair. Although I am rough with it, this chair has needed many repairs. Repairs in total have costed almost twice as much as the price of the whole chair.

Wiring is poor, and the mechanical features fail often. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Larry from W. Palm beach submitted this review on November 9th 2017 at 09:30 AM. Larry is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: when i first got chair was great i could go fifteen miles no worries.

Weaknesses: after 2 months the batteries would not get 4 miles so put in work orders through v.a after 4 sets of batteries from quantun in a month they dont send new the send old batteries the company gave me a new pair from their shop same problen i cant get four miles. This chiar is my life.

Comments: if they would fix the battery issue i would give it a 5 star rating but when i called their office in pittsburg a girl told me we dont pick and choose what batteries we send you get what you get. I served my country lost my legs for it and i get so girl telling me its to costly to look for a brand new set of batteries and yet they set 4 pair and did not ask for them back they know their sending junk batteries. Im waiting to see what happens now i only get 1 wheelchair every five years this is the first wheelchair in 24 years i ever had a battery issue. To think i lost my legs for this company. Overall Rating: John from Sydney, Australia submitted this review on May 21st 2017 at 09:34 PM. John is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product. Strengths: High torque, strong frame, good display. Individual seating controls now available (a Permobil clone). Speed OK, build quality OK Weaknesses: Motor whine was loud and triggered vertigo for me Slowing down, deceleration was poorly programmed so the chair lurched to a stop even with programming changes Uncomfortable seating compared with Corpus - suggest buying base if you like it with rehab seating Comments: If you dont need a Permobil Corpus seating option, or have complex enough rehab needs that all you care about is the base and electronics, this chair may be okay for you. Motors are loud, castor tracking isnt great, but its a good chair overall, especially for the money.

Probably a 4/5 chair for most people, but the motor whine and poor seating killed it for me. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: jim from north tonawanda, ny, 14120 submitted this review on March 22nd 2017 at 09:46 AM. Jim is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.

Strengths: none Weaknesses: turn and control, batterys and distance is way off the mark, disapointed Comments: Bad design,Supposed to go 15.5 miles, two miles is pushing the limit with a full charge, This was supposed to be an upgrade from my m91 pronto,IN Reality i totally went backwards with this chair. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Darlene from Pontiac, MI submitted this review on September 29th 2016 at 04:26 AM. Darlene is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: My Quantum Q6 Edge works great. I've had no problems going shopping 1.5 miles away and back again.

No problems driving on dry grass or gravel. Holds a charge very well. In the house I need only charge it once every 3 or 4 days. Using it to go 1.5 miles to the store and back only uses half the charge if I go on speed 3. Otherwise on speed 2 I really don't need to charge it for another day or two. Weaknesses: I have tilt and foot lift and find the seat is still extremely uncomfortable to sit in if I need to be in it all day. I'm a partial paraplegic and can still feel most of my legs and rear end but I cannot walk.

Also the seat tilts back but still keeps me in a seated position. Because I can't straighten my legs at the hip in this chair it causes a lot of fluid retention at the hips Comments: I have found a solution to my hip problem by placing a rolled up bath towel behind my rear when I want to lay down. All in all I love this chair and it has helped me do so many things I could not do before. I finally have the freedom to go places and have fun with my family. I consider this chair a real blessing in my life. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: William from Angola submitted this review on August 23rd 2016 at 11:08 PM.

William is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Exceptional pressure relief equipped with Roho on bottom and back. I'm experienced driver having had a pronto sure step, this chair lacks in top speed a bit but having a 5,7 & 8 year old children, I finally can go on park trips, bike rides and in less than 90 days I've put 210 miles on it with no new sores, no problems and it's so comfortable. Climbs my driveway, my ramp, the crazy threshold to my garage.love it. Weaknesses: Back has a tendency to catch on things in tight spots.

Comments: If properly programmed and suspension properly adjusted this chair is boss. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Tana from Sterling, VA submitted this review on August 17th 2016 at 01:49 PM. Tana is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: Seating is comfortable, except that the back is reclined 10 degrees, and I need to sit upright at 90 degrees. Fast; charges fully in 6-8 hours, unlike my older chairs (Quickie P100, Jazzy 600). Armrests (transfer type) are comfortable. I have the tilt, recline and elevating seat options; the elevation is great (more than 10 ') and it will move while elevated. Weaknesses: Elevating footrests are uncomfortable, jacking my knees up toward my head before the feet lift, so I can't straighten my knees out completely when the footrests are elevated.

I wish I hadn't got this feature. Speed and mode controls on sides of joystick controller are exposed and vulnerable to unexpected changes due to accidentally brushing. For some reason, The joystick itself is also in such a position that I keep catching my sleeve or other clothing on it, or leaning against it when I try to reach things, and suddenly jerking the chair forward. I'm a 26-year power w/c user and I've never had this problem before. Footrest liners (rubber) are poorly adhered and peel away after a few months. The biggest and most expensive problem I have is that the vertical, full-threaded 1/4' diameter bolts connecting the seat assembly to the actuator in the base keep shearing off.

There are these two bolts, and above them two horizontal 3/8' diameter bolts that hold the seat pan to the supports. In the two years I've had the chair the vertical bolts have sheared off just below the countersunk heads THREE TIMES. Quantum says I 'must be abusing the chair' by putting weight on the armrests (they're TRANSFER armrests, so one would assume they're supposed to take that kind of weight), leaning over the armrests or leaning forward to my feet, or 'throwing' myself into the chair.

Since I'm an active w/c user, doing all my own transfers, ADLs and instrumental ADLs, light housekeeping, cooking, shopping, cleaning the cat litter box, lifting my laundry basked into my lap to schlep it down to the laundry room, etc., well, yes i do lean. One would assume a $16,000 chair could stand up to that kind of 'abuse.' But apparently not. Quantum says they're not responsible for the replacements since it's my fault these bolts keep breaking. The seat assembly replacement costs $2,600 each time; the bolts can't be drilled out and replaced, as they're countersunk, so the entire assembly has to be replaced each time.

Comments: I can't afford to keep replacing the seat assembly every 8-9 months for the next three years, until Medicare says I'm eligible for a new chair, so I will now have to just drive the Q6 with the broken bolts and the seat jiggling about until it falls off entirely and then try to buy a used chair of some other brand. This is my 3rd Pride Mobility chair, but it will certainly be my last. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Kathleen from Marion submitted this review on June 22nd 2016 at 07:36 PM. Kathleen is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product. Strengths: the chair looks nice and turns easily in a circle. Weaknesses: The joystick set up is not similar to the one on my Invacare.

This chair seems lighter and does not seem to have good suspension. The joystick is a tough push for me. It also jerks and will go at weird angles when I'm trying to go straight. I am operating there Q6 Edge with my thumb and first finger – which is a bit tricky for me.

Comments: I'm 67 and I think this chair has a higher learning curve than my transition from an Invacare Arrow Storm (rearwheel drive) to in Invacare TDX (center will drive). This chair is jerky. The joystick is not as sensitive. I am also operating it in a totally different way than I did my Invacare.

I injured my leg today when my chair got caught on something – wheels out too far – bad judgment on my part I guess – and I rammed my shin into a beauty shop chair.I have a large bruise and swelling. So please be careful. Have someone with you or if in a small space free wheel the chair and have someone push you. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Davis from Ohio USA submitted this review on June 9th 2016 at 04:36 PM.

Davis is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Can be custom fitted for comfort.

Weaknesses: VERY unreliable breaks down TOO MUCH and expensive to repair. Very disappointed out OF four chairs THIS IS by far THE worst. Comments: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Gail from Canada submitted this review on June 1st 2016 at 03:17 PM. Gail is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: None Weaknesses: Whole wheelchair Comments: Purchased Oct, 2015. Has a new back and seat. The ride is rough even over a small crack, and when going over curbs goes side to side. I have not been able to go up some curbs because the wheels will spin. Trying to back up abit almost got hit by a car that left the stop sign too quick. I hate my quartum edge. I am in pain all the time I use it.

Back, tail bone, spine, shoulders and shoulder blades. I have not a quility of life anymore.

Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Rick from Tallahassee FL USA submitted this review on May 14th 2016 at 11:50 PM. Rick is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: It STILL carries me at a good speed, Ran low on juice (x2) Cops helped me out by trailering it back to house for me. Motors are very durable, so far only killed one. Wheels were easy to change, DME tech took 25 minutes to change all 6.

Weaknesses: Joystick controls are too sensitive. Chair can't backup in a straight line. Armrests are hinge only, DO NOT pick yourself up with them, (NO Weight Bearing) you risk a fall.

I added a seat cushion from a Living Room chair. Asked and looked for advice from PRIDE website to silence squeaks, was told 'Call DME'. Research I did suggest using WD-40 on wheel casters and bolts, hinge points of shock absorbers and seat mounting clamps.

Comments: This was my first powered chair. I had NO previous experience in a chair this size and it was VERY helpful to purchase and have installed door hinges that fold open to allow additional width for this chair. Now I can move relatively well, and have even had my first total wheel change.

(4 casters, 2 main Drive wheels). My nearly two years with this model has shown me ALL of the pitfalls of a 'sell-through' (Crap somebody else made that has a 'name' stuck on). Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Jeff from South Jordan, UT., 84009 submitted this review on April 14th 2016 at 01:22 PM. Jeff is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Comfortable Chair with a ton of options for any position you can imagine.

Decent speed, but LOWER/SHORTER battery life than what is mentioned or written about!!! A very cool/sleek look:-))) Weaknesses: Speed advertised in the 5mph to 6mph range, but can barely get it up to 4.7 on a down hill paved trail within the neighborhood. I'm at 260lbs., so that could have something to with the performance aspect, but still.$26k for a chair to do and perform as advertised is what I was looking for in a power chair!

Also, the battery life has decreased much quicker than initially explained to me by my PowerChair Agent (nice guy though). I have RUN out of juice twice now and only traveled 4 miles 'tops,' so WHY? It says I can get 15+ miles on a 'full charge' and 4 miles just doesn't cut it when I have to RELY on it to get from point A to B to C and sometimes D!

If it weren't for a friend who's son had Cerebral Palsy and a Van to come to my rescue, I'd still be out there waiting for a tow of some sorts. I now travel with my 'charger' and use time management to my advantage (which is a negative) when traveling to appointments so I can sit in their lobby charging for at least an hour or two, so I've learned to bring a book/iPad.

Comments: Don't get me wrong, I'm generally pleased with this product, but as my MS progresses, so does my ability to think or troubleshoot through these types of situations (cognitive degradation). I now have a fluorescent sticker on the back of my chair explaining my current health issue along with my 'emergency contacts name/phone#' just in case. While Medicare paid for 80% of the chair, that still left me with a chunk of change to come up with regarding the difference, so I was expecting a Cadillac versus a Nissan if that makes sense.

Either way, it had better hold out just as promised for the remaining 4+ years as was promised to me by my Quantum Guy (Rep) or I'm going to be REALLY ticked off, so wish me luck!!! J Durability? Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Mary from Tulsa, OK, USA submitted this review on March 16th 2016 at 08:33 PM.

Mary is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Easy to connect charger, different colors of power base.

Weaknesses: Electronics went out without warning after only a year. Shroud cracked despite gentile care, within first 3 months.

The seat backrest broke within 1st month. I had a Jazzy wheelchair for 7 years, still had original equipment. Very poorly manufactured. Good luck getting the warranty honored! Comments: I'm beyond sorely disappointed in the poor workmanship, substandard quality materials, overall over-priced for the poor quality. I'm retired, take good care of the wheelchair. Have to handle it with 'kid gloves' since it is made so poorly.

I cannot recommend this product to anyone under any circumstances. I'm terribly disappointed in Pride. I also purchased a mobility scooter from Pride. Their more recent models are cheaply made and will destroy Pride's former reputation. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Stephan from Princeton, Minnesota USA submitted this review on February 1st 2016 at 05:29 PM.

Stephan is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Build of chair is good, structurally sound, good materials. Original equipment batteries hold charge well, recharge fully, plenty of speed and maneuverability.

No problem whatsoever going up steep ramps and grades or getting into or out of my van. Haven't had a problem on wet pavement or snow and ice. The chair is very fast; I seldom have the speed setting above 3 outside. My joystick has speed settings form 1 to 4. I use mostly 2 & 1 indoors and 2 & 3 outside. Chair tracks straight and true forward and backward. The elevator function works fine.

Weaknesses: Nothing glaringly wrong or negative stands out yet. Comments: For those who feel the joystick is a bit touchy, I'll just say this: It does take practice to get the feel of a power chair. The DME tech who delivered the chair stressed making small movements and corrections. He's absolutely right.

Go easy at first to learn how the chair acts and responds to the joystick. If you're heavy-handed, you're going to crash into things and misjudge distances and turns. I have a few dings and dents in the walls and wood-work to touch up. It's all part of the learning process. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Giles from Nevada submitted this review on January 14th 2016 at 04:15 PM. Giles is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Goes fast enough to get me around town. My edge is the higher speed model. Easy to use, but had to spend time with a tech at Better Life Mobility in Las Vegas who programmed it properly. The company which th VA hired to deliver the chair to me did not do the setup properly (not Better Life) Weaknesses: Too slow for me when the seat is elevated; would be nice to go a little bit faster.

Pride does not give good support to end users, it would be nice if they had a support line. Comments: I like this power chair, it much more versatile than my old 4 wheel scooter (Maxima) Durability? Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Joan from Fairfield, NJ, USA submitted this review on January 8th 2016 at 05:43 PM. Joan is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product. Strengths: Powerful; looks good, Weaknesses: Steering is not very tight or precise.

It wobbles when trying to go straight, so going up or down my van ramp is difficult. The foot plate is too narrow.

Due to my paralysis, my legs splay out and my feet fall off the sides of the plate. The braking system is not as responsive as the Jazzy 1121 I also have. Comments: I have had a Pride Jazzy model 1121 for 13 years and these issues were never encountered in that model.

The vendor recommended the Pride Quantum Q 6 and said it was comparable, but it is not. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: David from Arlington, VA USA submitted this review on October 14th 2015 at 07:27 PM. David is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: Weaknesses: Comments: Chair goes into Idle Mode constantly, stranding me in helpless positions. Very erratic, unreliable, unsafe. End user support from Pride is non-existent. Disappointing and perilous. Can't recommend. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: ray from new holland pa usa submitted this review on September 2nd 2015 at 08:56 PM. Ray is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product. Strengths: comfortable, good outside Weaknesses: to many Comments: I got this chair in the begging of 2010. Within about 3 months I started having battery issues. Replaced batteries twice I think and chair went back to provider to have wireing gone over. No problems found so a new chair was ordered n it was ok for about a yr then started having various problems ( both wheel motors replaced twice one side under warranty other side not, replaced tilt module ) replaced batteries 3 months ago just replaced one again this week and problem still exist. My opinion is to not buy this chair because they're nothing but junk.

I had a pronto for 5 yrs prior and put it thru hell with no problems except battery replacement just before quantum purchase.if someone recommends this chair run as fast as u can the other way Durability? Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Mark from Anchorage submitted this review on April 5th 2015 at 07:53 PM.

Mark is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: good power and maneuverability Weaknesses: problems like 'idle mode' occur with no help in the manual. Thanks to Andy from Muncie.

Your advice cleared up a problem that could have cost us lots of time and headache Comments: This chair is not for every paraplegic. If an operator is not careful with the speed settings they can injure themselves very quickly.

Strengths: My review is amended to read: They sent me this info when I said I got it from a service company and had no seller to call. Pride as the manufacturer does not have a technical service department here to assist you.

There are two national service companies you can call. They have a network of service techs all across the United States. Wheelchair & Scooter Repair @ 1-888-584-3095. Xmed/Repair Xpress @1-877-581-3733. Weaknesses: See other post Comments: See other post.

Strengths: Weaknesses: zippy, turning radius, ease of transfer Terrible steering, prone to trip main circuit breaker on my driveway Comments: As a spare indoor chair this is okay, but I would hate it to be the only chair I had. The elevation is good, particularly the move whilst elevated ability - my main chair, a Permobil, does not move when elevated. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Ken from Dadeville, AL USA submitted this review on March 1st 2015 at 07:21 AM. Ken is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: It turns in a very tight circle. The low speed dial will make it go very slow for close quarters use. The charger uses the same plug pattern as twelve year old units.

Weaknesses: The rear wheels that make it turn in a tight circle have the nasty habit of grabbing things. They got wrapped around the recharge cord and pulled it out of the charger rendering it useless. A user must insure the cable is well away from the wheels. Going forward is much better than turning around. If the information panel is bright enough to see outside, it is blinding at night.

Comments: Hats off to Andy of Muncie for the 'IDLE MODE' fix. Google must look at every word on every website as I found the fix with a quote of the warning. My chair just went into IDLE MODE with no warning.

I was watching TV and was going to move and BANG! Wife fixed it using Andy's advice. I keep a towel to cover the display in the dark or it would cause me to lose night vision. It gets stuck in wet grass or the plastic sheet Braun Mobility uses to cover Dodge carpeting. I removed this plastic sheet to use the van.

The speed 1 rear speed is a maddeningly slow 0.4 mph which I then put on speed 2 which can be too powerful. I wish I had my 12 year old Storm Arrow retrofitted with raising foot rests instead of getting this chair. I was shown a video of its off-road use. I cannot believe anyone who reads this page would now believe this chair can go off of concrete walks. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Rick from Tallahassee, Fl USA submitted this review on September 28th 2014 at 11:16 AM. Rick is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: It carries me at a good speed, haven't yet run low on juice.

Weaknesses: Joystick controls are extremely sensitive. Chair will NOT backup in a straight line because of the front rollers/tires. Vinyl chair back was ripped FIRST DAY on delivery, DME suggested 'tape'. Seat cushion seems thin.

After a month, asked and looked for advice from PRIDE website to silence squeaks, was told 'Call DME'. 'Not helpful to be told by a shill to do that thing I've ALREADY F^#!.G DONE. Comments: This is my first powered chair.

I have NO previous experience in a chair this size and it was a nightmare of broken doorways, gouged doors, thrashed carpeting, and frightened pets. My wife is VERY understanding as some of her family treasures were sacrificed to this chair in the first two weeks. I finally learned the less-than-obvious tip of 'holding the BOTTOM of the joystick' and NOT the top. That translates as move a little, and gently press on for more speed. I now routinely leave it on #5 speed.

Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Al from Naples, FL submitted this review on May 5th 2014 at 01:55 PM. Al is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Weaknesses: Comments: Chair has been idle for some time due to the death of my wife.

Plan on donating the chair but batteries were under 3 volts and would no longer take a charge - even by 'fooling' the charger. So I replaced the batteries with new ones and the chair remained 'dead'. Found the 'circuit breaker' but it was not tripped. Then read Andy from Muncie's post and that did the trick. Agree with the comment made as to why that little item didn't make the instructions literature. Chair works great now but then, it should, as it only had about 4 hours of use in total. Overall Rating: Ron from Connecticut submitted this review on May 1st 2014 at 10:01 AM. Ron is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Back tilt and calf tilt. Weaknesses: Electronics.

Oh, did I mention the electronics? Comments: Here's another shout out to Andy from Muncie for his solution to the 'Idle Mode' issue. My chair shut down at 8:00 PM when I was alone. Thankfully it did so while I was in front of this computer. A five minute search on DDG found this thread and Andy's post. A phone call to my neighbor.

And five minutes later I was good to go. Pride gets Zero points for omitting this info from their manuals. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: William from Houston submitted this review on April 13th 2014 at 11:40 AM. William is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: I have had this chair for 2 years. It is an excellent motorized wheelchair top of the line. It gives me more independence then any other mobility device or pov I have tried. I have the enhanced display which really allows me 2 controlmy entire Entertainment system by remote control. As well this chair is extremely Mobile and versatile. Weaknesses: charging system is somewhat finicky.

Sometimes it is plugged in with power on and does that charge! Comments: it has three power speeds, Full Tilt and leg elevation modes, I thank this chair for healing a stage 1 decubitus and preventing any recurrence. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Donald from Bellevue, Washington, USA submitted this review on February 6th 2014 at 08:34 AM.

Donald is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Does have excellent aesthetics but that is where the strengths end. Weaknesses: Poor handling.

Rear suspension is useless. Comments: Wish I would have went with a different product. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Tom from Levittown, Pa. Submitted this review on January 31st 2014 at 06:17 AM. Tom is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: provided by medicare so there was no initial charge.

Weaknesses: most everything. Chair needs several things repaired but since we got it thru the scooter store (now out of business)can't find anyone who will touch it. If they didn't sell it then they won't repair it. Medicare is no help. The chair just 'jumps' randomly and it doesn't matter what speed setting it is in. This has caused crashes into walls, doors & a person.

Range is not as advertised and batteries need charging 2x/day with moderate around the house or short trips to doctors use. Armpads & seat are all split & ripping. Comments: This chair (Quantum Q6 Edge) was more expensive ($6500) then the Jazzy($3800) that we wanted but were told that this is what medicare would provide because of contracts.

Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Roy from Monroe,New Jersey submitted this review on January 24th 2014 at 09:57 AM. Roy is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product. Strengths: Nice elevator seat, nice digital clock Weaknesses: Almost impossible to control, chair will jerk you from side to side while going backward, chair too high to fit under table and ramp vans. You must sit back from mini van dash otherwise your head will hit headliner and sun visor. Comments: I also have a Permobil C300 which is 100% better than this chair.A word of advise: If you have any say of which chair to get, don't get this one. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Robert from Salem, OR, USA submitted this review on January 16th 2014 at 11:40 PM. Robert is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.

Strengths: Turning radius, tilt feature Weaknesses: Steering can be a bit wonky at times Comments: About a thousand times better than my previous chair - a Hoveround (or, as I liked to call it, 'The Pressure Sore Factory'). The tilt feature on my Q6 Edge allows me to slide all the way back in the chair, gravity-assisted. It has also allowed me to undergo many medical procedures (X-Rays, Echocardiograms, Dental extractions, etcetera) while in the chair!

Some of them I would not have been able to have otherwise, as they would have required me to transfer to a table - something difficult (and dangerous) at best. Even after a technician 'tweaked' the Q6 Edge's steering sensitivity, it still occasionally has difficulty staying in a straight-ahead heading, which can lead to scraped walls in a narrow hallway, for instance. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Gordon from Lake Geneva, WI, USA submitted this review on January 4th 2014 at 12:30 PM. Gordon is a care giver who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Weaknesses: Comments: This is a 'shout-out' to Andy from Muncie. We had the exact same thing happen with the Idle Mode, but this was just at the end of a normal day.

Couldn't reach a tech, but your directions were excellent and I was able to correct the problem with no difficulty. Why this information is not in any of the manuals, I'll never know. Thanks again for being so precise. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Andy from Muncie, Indiana, USA submitted this review on January 1st 2014 at 01:04 PM. Andy is a care giver who has one to six months of experience with the product. Strengths: Works well with TruBalance lift feature.

Weaknesses: Poor steering control, unstable batteries Comments: Leave the chair for a few days, as we did over Christmas, and it goes into 'Idle Mode.' This wouldn't have been a problem if any of the several manuals and leaflets that came with the chair had mentioned Idle Mode and told us how to get the chair out of it. What you have to do, as we found out after we finally got hold of a tech, is to remove the panel from the rear bottom of the chair. This is the very bottom panel, underneath the battery, which has the word 'Quantum' spelled out.

It can be removed by twisting two yellow knobs on the sides. When you have that panel off, you'll see a square plug. You'll see six prongs on the end. The control panel will go dark. Plug it back in and the panel will light up again; it should be back in normal mode. Turn the chair off. Reattach the panel before you do anything else.

Quantum Q6 Joystick

There should be negative numbers on the product rating for this overpriced boat anchor!!! Comments: I had no choice in the purchase of this chair, it was supplied by the V.A. Because they had the 'Only Contract'. As we were leaving the VA it was 'Bumped' on the rear push handle by another wheelchair. The other chair was fine, mine had a big tear right through the padding. It took over ten minutes to get it into my BraunMobility van because it would not go straight up the ramp.

I figured I'd just have to get used to the quircky unpredictable steering. When I went to get it out of the van, it wouldn't move forward or back. It would power on but not move.

After being stranded for nearly an hour I called the Pride customer service line. A very polite girl informed me that they were just an answering service and that there were no actuall technicians ever on duty, I was told to contact my dealer.

Back at the VA we figured that some mercury sensor was out of adjustment and a hard shake of the chair re-adjusted it (They showed the wife how to shake the 300lb chair). We got it home and we were out on the patio checking all the lifts and tilts. Got it up to it's highest lift position it was stuck and would not lower. The wife had to get a hoyer lift to get me out of the chair. (she loves bringing them down the stairs and outside) After looking at it for a few hours I noticed a metal contact that didn't look right.

I wiggled what I later found out it was the limit switch, and wella, the chair would lower again. I showed the wife where the switch was and how to wiggle it when it happened again. The next morning after plugging it in for a recharge the screen is flashing SYSTEM IN IDLE MODE, it also reads that it needs a 'Power cycle of the system'.

I've been told by the VA that it needs to go to the shop and be repaired!!! THIS CHAIR HAS NOT BEEN USED A WHOLE DAY YET!!! I thank GOD that I didn't get rid of my second hand Pronto M71!! When they come to get this chair I'm just going to tell them to keep it!! I've been told that the steering problem is also a programming issue and the chair needs to be 'programed by a certified technician' (Not the VA). If you can avoid getting one of these, please run away like your head was on fire and don't waste your money. This chair is just plain junk and they should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of medical providers like the VA.

If you're stuck with one like I was, get used to being stranded often with absolutely no help from the manufacturer and limited help from your 'Dealers' Pride mobility would not let me post a reveiw on their web-site.gee.wonder why. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Derrick from seattle wa submitted this review on November 12th 2013 at 06:23 PM.

Derrick is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Handling. Smoothest drive out of everything I have tried. Excellent suspension. Weaknesses: None Comments: I would highly recommend this product. Meet expectations?

Overall Rating: Jane from USA submitted this review on August 31st 2013 at 12:18 AM. Jane is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. Strengths: Worked well for the first three months. Weaknesses: After three months, the motors started to grind.

After 50 or so miles, the battery died.By five months, the motors had to be replaced. A month later, the battery was draining to half use again, and was replaced. After 10 months, the frame developed an instability from a bend that occurred after no hard use. After owning for one year with minimal use, the chair is unusable and the provider company will not assist or take back the chair.

Comments: Provider company recommended a Quantum chair because they apparently have a contract with the company. After a year, I researched chair brands and went with a Permobil - MUCH more durable, reliable, and comfortable!

Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Richard from Bremerton, WA submitted this review on July 23rd 2013 at 12:32 PM. Richard is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. Strengths: The chair has good speed at high range The suspension is much better than the chair I had before. Tilt and raise capability are very good. Adjustable horn volume is great.

Weaknesses: Visibility of control panel under outdoor daylight conditions is VERY poor. Chair needs to have a settable memory so the chair will return to a set position. Raising and lowering of chair far to slow. Chair need much better storage / carry capability -the small pouches are inadequate and the drink carrier is to light weight. Arm rests are not solid.

Layout of hand control could be better. Comments: Generally, this wheelchair is an improvement over what I had, but is still lacking when it comes to user ease of use. Meet expectations? Overall Rating: Larry from Indianapolis.Indiana us submitted this review on June 6th 2013 at 06:42 PM.

I feel so far its very fast and for Iam enjoying the freedom. Weaknesses: none so far Comments: I want to thank ATG for helping me and all of their help Durability? Meet expectations?
