The Kindergarten Classes in Cache District are extended day programs. Kindergarten sessions are extended by 30 minutes so that they are nearly back-to-back. This extra half-hour of instruction time is when we hold Tier II services. Students work in differentiated small groups with a well-trained paraprofessional to target needed reading skills. Groups and data are created and evaluated by classroom teachers and Literacy Facilitators to ensure that the programs are taught with fidelity and that students are achieving mastery.
