Student Performance Standards Content and performance standards define what students should know and be able to do, and how they can demonstrate proficiency in that set of skills and knowledge. The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test® (FCAT) is part of Florida’s overall plan to increase student achievement by implementing higher standards.
