I have a 1996 Turf Power Riding Lawn mower that was made by Mtd. It has a 14.5 Briggs and Stratton Motor in it and a 42 inch deck. It was given to me by my gf's sister. I am trying to get it going again. I have got the starter to click by putting a charge on the batter but that is about it. I am just wondering if there is any electrical manuals out there being that I know MTD doesn't supply them.

What I think I have is a model 690 through 699 and mine is a style three as indicated on the PDF from MTD which I can't save as an image folder from PDF file to repost here. There were many engine's used as listed from the PDF file as follows Briggs & Stratton Single Cylinder Briggs & Stratton Overhead Valve Briggs & Stratton Twin Cylinder Tecumseh (Which I have) Kohler Intek Twin No horspower ratings were given from the PDF file but its neat to know what power plsnts they used on these mowers. I also found out that their was a cast iron front axle on these mowers ( I have the stamped steel one) All in all this has been a great lil mower that has surved its purpose and will get a lil TLC soon. Hope this helps someone out.
